A thought on being a touch closer to the stars

The first American woman in space, Sally Ride gave that answer when she answered questions from students in 1998 for Scholastic, the publishing company that focuses on younger readers. Ride flew in space in 1983, becoming a household name in the process. She died in 2012 after battling pancreatic cancer.
