Doing the right thing is easy (when it’s cheaper)

I heard this nugget of wisdom through one of the posts by comedian and anti-scammer Alex Falcone, who in this case was explaining why solar power is taking off in the United States — particularly in Texas.
Solar power there has eclipsed (sorry, not-sorry for the pun) coal as a form of energy, in large part because the once-prohibitive costs of solar have dropped dramatically.
Falcone’s work frequently challenges scammy things all around us, and as a bit of a one-man Snopes, the comedian also fact-checks a lot of the other things in our feeds. It says something about our era that a stand-up comic is trying to get us to stick to the facts, please.
In this particular post, he wanted to look at a few things that are working well: in addition to solar, he highlighted the growth of non-alcoholic (and carcinogen-free) beverages, and how better safety provisions have helped extend the lifespan of cars.
